I am a big fan of Glock so I too was waiting for the Glock's version of a 9mm CCW beyond their GL-26 but unfortunately, I am not a fan of .380
What I have been keeping my eye on was Remy's new "Baby", the R-51
Not only in 9mm or .40 with the ability to handle +P factory ammunition fired thru a fixed 416 stainless steel barrel via internal hammer (single action), this puppy has no sharp edges ANYWHERE.
An ambidextrous mag release, an internal drop safety and for you 1911 lovers, the primary safety is a grip safety you can feel as well as hear click as it engages or disengage.
Available options include threaded barrel and/or Crimson Trace Laserguard.
Coming to you February 1, 2014 at a MSRP of $389.00 + our Lucky you live Hawaii Shipping and Handling charges + tax.
Can't wait to get my hands on one of these ! :shake:

I split this off from the Glock topic because I thought that little beauty is worth having a topic all of its own.

My bad..
But you're right.
R-51 does deserve it's own thread. :shaka:

Gee Mac, modifying already ?
Depending on how it feels, I would make it "pretty" with the Rosewood or Pearl,
but with the smaller grip, Spock says Hogue like rubber grips :geekdanc:
More Stats
Weight 20 oz
Width .96
Length 6 inches
Height 4.5 inches

you gonna order local or online?
i agree with you on the grips
can't see making a small grip gun possibly less grippy by using rosewood or pearl
plus those are a little too "Patton" for me
i just sent speedtek an iMessage to stop by the remington booth at the SHOT show and check it out
carter's only gonna be there a day or two, so i am betting he mostly has meetings

the quote is from hkpro.com, so it is incredibly biased
"I checked it out at SHOT and honestly it's a pile of crap. Too big for the market segment, horrible trigger, and just didn't feel right in your hand."

interesting looking little gun. Now if they would just ditch the polymer frame and throw on some wood slabs they might have something ;D

I saw this on another forum I am on, and I actually really like it. Lets hope some local stores actually bring it in.
-
I like the pistol, I've looked at youtube reviews. I am wondering how stiff the grip safety is, because that is the one and only safety. Makes me kind of nervous cocked and 'locked' single action only.. ? Must be pretty stiff to disengage the grip.
-
waiting for review or a "ENHANCED" version
-
That's is a pretty pistol. Maybe I can get my wife to give to me for valentines day :P
