Title: "UFC WAIKELE"

Did anyone go yesterday? It was the grand opening for the Waikele UFC gym.....

I've been lifting at YMCA Waipahu for the past 7 years but signed up for UFC during

the construction....

YMCA has gotten too crowded lately, and they've managed to cram it with too much

useless equipment and machines....

I was told that YMCA wants to appeal to all ages and lifestyles..... :-\

Compared to YMCA, the UFC gym is more convenient due its 24hr open schedule.....

My wife and kids still go to YMCA, so I'm keeping the YMCA memebership as well... :thumbsup:

Shux, I was worried about that.....

 I didn't see too much powerlifting stuff on the layout as well... :-\

The only time I lift on machines is if I'm injured or under the weather....

I dropped $550 and pay $14 a month....too late :P

That's not a bad deal as the "discounted" price I was quoted in town was more than that upfront for the lower monthly pricing.

Usually, its around $45 a month unless they have a special.

I don't think a have access to the grappling area....

I think that was the $800 package...

The guy that signed me up said a lot of stuff, which sounded all good ....

But I am gonna bring my youngest daughter to take a class....

A lot has changed since way back when.....

I use to train at Bulls Pen back in the early 2000's....

Instead of just calling it MMA, we would say

"I train in Boxing, Wrestling, Jujitsu, Kick boxing, Sambo, Kempo, Shooto, Judo, Muay Thai etc..."

Yeah, I just wanted a gym that was less crowded and had a better hourly schedule....

The whole world is trying to get in shape nowadays, so the YMCA gets to packed....

I go to the UFC gym occasionally. Look for corporate rates for the best deal.
