"The company is betting that demand for the technology will increase as consumers seek guns modified for safety."

I didn't know consumers were seeking guns modified for safety. I always thought it was the choice of the people who knew what is best for us.....

Electronic RFID-activated guns.  For those who can't trust an electronic combination lock on their gun safe, here's an even better idea!  Every gun will have an electronic lock!

Great, one more thing not to lose, my watch.   So what happens when you wear the watch on the opposite hand from your pistol and you're shooting one handed?

Well shoot if this technology is so good let's have New York City change all the police officer's guns to this. After all it will make their officer's more safe. ::)

This is the part that always kills me (pardon the pun...)....they want to push this "safe gun" technology, but LE is always exempted. If it's not reliable enough, nor "flexible" enough to cover realistic scenarios like having to shoot with your non-dominant hand, for the police, it's not reliable or flexible enough for me!

Yeah, the article sez it's 22 but that hole in the front appears pretty big to me.
Hard to tell tho...since there is nothing to reference to.
Regardless, I despise electronic locks. So I don't give a shit either.

I hope you can at least accessorize the watch and gun for the price!  Pretty pricey for a .22!  Just a matter of time before hackers figure out how to bypass.

Just another example of "progress" in engineering. Or what I like to call. Absolute crap.

This is absolute garbage. They have cell phone jammers. What happens when someone uses a device to block the signal from your watch to your gun?

Ummmm, cel phone jammers are illegal....duh.  (sacastic comment directed at legislators for their misguided and off-base belief that criminals obey the laws....)

My guess is, there are different styles of watches for men, women, personal taste and functionality.   Not everyone wants a Casio Databank to make the gun go bang!

Get ready to register the watch.

2X the price of a glock?   try 3 times the price for the gun and you can almost buy another glock for the cost of the watch!

If this is going to be a trend, I'm buying more guns now before this becomes a requirement.

heck wouldn't even need a jammer the darn thing doesn't work further than 11" and fails either way 10% of the time so it's totally unreliable garbage at this point.  just another hair brained feel good leftist ploy at gun control and maximizing criminal advantage.  they're not going to be using crap like this after all so who's really being protected I ask!
