It seems a little gimmicky to me.  Yeah it's full auto, but technically it isn't, but in practice it kinda is... but not really.    I think I'd be happier with a well tuned trigger on a semi-auto rifle than a stock that makes my rifle "sort of" full auto.

Slidefire brings smiles on the range.  No doubt about it! #makeitrainbrass

One range day bring your mags/ammo and we can do slide fire vs. tac-con vs. hyperfire vs. mil spec or whatevers.

But on your own uppers :D

Mahalo!!

I have slide fire stocks, they work as advertised.

They rock.

Everyone that unloads a mag from my slidefire AK or AR walks away with a serious case of permagrin.

Vs single precision aimed shots.  :)

Actually, I like the idea of "sequential semiautomatic fire" :) and would like to try it.  There are certain situations where this would be  a good thing for suppressive fire  in potentially bad civilian scenarios. The comments I've seen with various versions of the system is that they work pretty well, and much better than the "hang your thumb in your belt loop" methods.

One thing that gives me a permagrin, even without firing one, is that it points out once again that it is impossible to write major laws that are both exhaustive and inclusive in their intent.

Just curious, are there any issues using one of these stocks at KHSC? I know that they are legal per the ATF but considering how restrictive KHSC is I figured it would be frowned upon.

cannot use on rifle range
considered "rapid fire"
plus, 5 rounds at a time would go quickly

mac,

I had a feeling that was the case. I would love to have the 5 round limit raised to 10, there really isn't any logic to it besides just making you constantly reload.

it's crazy but took me like almost 3 hours to fire 220 rounds, including time to pick up a little brass.  saves on ammo?  I'd rather be able to load to standard capacity and dump that in ummm, couple minutes instead :D  Imagine if the range sold ammo, cha ching.  with a little foundry it would be almost like a closed loop, shoot recover cast reload sell fire rinse repeat, mo money mo money mo money!  haha

Yeah it can take awhile to burn through ammo, especially at 5 rounds a mag. I had to do that when I sold my Mosin Nagant-burned off about 240 rounds in 3 hours. Let me tell you- I wouldn't do that again! I would just love to be able to load a standard stripper clip into my AR's. I wonder who actually sets the rules for the range, this seems like something easy to get changed. Considering the recent changes to the range, I would argue that upping the limit to 10 is a fair compromise since everything else has been a further restriction.

You can aim somewhat with a slidefire stock. I like 9mm AR the best. 22LR is fun also

bumpfire is just spray and pray

Can't the Slide Fire be locked in a fixed position so it won't slide acting like a fixed stock?

Slide fire is bad ass. I was thinking about selling mine then I shot it and changed my mind.

Yes they can be locked.

I have one of these and I can never get it to dump a whole mag. I know its my technique but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. After a few rounds the hammer doesn't reset so i need to charge it again which usually have a live round in the chamber. My guess is too much forward pressure.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to read some real reviews of the tac com trigger.

From what I've heard about the tac-con, besides the fact there is the "option 3" setting, it is also a pretty good trigger as well.

For 500 bucks... eh... it seems a bit overpriced for what it is.  If they dropped it down to the $350 range I would be very much more inclined.
