I've been trying to think of ways to organize my safes. I was running out of space so I got a 2nd one. This one I'm just going to have my handguns and tactical/home defense rifles. I decided to make my own shelves so no holes in the middle and redo the door carpet. Carpet didn't quite match but close enough. I was thinking of ways to organize my magazine and found these pouches. I had my mother in law sew on velcro on the back flaps so it will stick to the door. It's the middle one with the hooks, the rest come like that. In case of emergency we can quickly rip it off the door and take with us. I will also put labels on them so I know which magazines are what. The right side I will hang knifes, machete, etc.
Anyways what did you do to your safe? Please post pictures so I can get ideas. I want to be organized and also save space.

I just pack things in until the floor groans.

I don't think my guns ever go in the same way twice.

Hey! that is really nice!
Good job with those mag pockets and the pistols hanging around like that.
Are those hangers home-made or store bought?

I've always worried about leaving guns exposed to open air like that. All of mine are either in gun socks or cases. Have you had any issues with rusting/dust/mold/general stickiness on guns stored that way?

Yeah this is me. I need a bigger safe.
-
I've never used the gun hangers; don't like the idea of them being exposed to the air. I have all my handguns and long guns in silicon treated gun socks. As far as magazine storage goes, I just piled them on one side of my safe.

As far as moisture in the safe, I use damprid. Everything has been fine. Anyone else use damprid in the safe?
-
I don't have anything for moisture in my safe (no room) . No rust found on anything not even the scope mounts or screws .

Nice safe set up blkdrgn!! Where did you get those magazine pouches for your safe at?

I use the Eva-Dry E333. Maybe a little over kill but, hey bigger is always better right. My safe seems to be very dry whenever I do open it up.

Did you get that locally?

Amazon.com
Yup right on the money.

I got the pouches from MidwayUSA and the dehumidifiers from the NEX and Amazon. I run multiple in each safe. I also run a temperature/humidifier gauge sensor inside the safe. I have the LED screen on the outside stuck by magnets so I can keep track without opening the safe each time. Normally it's about 75 degrees and 55% humidity.

I'm thinking about using this temp/humidity sensor instead on my safes. It has warning sensors.

i have 2 of the plug in kind, and charge them twice a week
but i can never get it below 60% humidity
i have one of those dial ones that are used in cigar humidors
i bought one of those plug in rod dehumidifiers, but i never got motivated enough to empty out the safe and tip it to drill a hole

I have 4 in each safe and my ammo container. Each one I add lowers the humidity. With my AC on I can drop it down to 45-50%. I run multiple so when I recharge a couple of them I still have others in the safe protecting my stuff.

hmm
no A/C for me
and they never get that pink, so i didn't think it was a drying capacity problem
maybe i'll pick up one more with my next amazon order and see
my 12 gun safe when i only had 1 plugin one would turn pink in a couple of days
so that's why i got the second one

If space is an issue you can try these.
