The AR10 receiver extension is larger or more correct longer to accommodate the longer ar10 bolt carrier group.  The only way you can use an ar15 sized receiver extension is to use a non-standard buffer and correct spring.

Diameter wise is the same....

A2 Tube length is the same.

But the Regular Ar15 Carbine Buffer Tube is too short by 1/4"  You need a special length buffer (also correct weight) and an AR308 Carbine Spring if you use a AR15 Carbine Buffer Tube.
I make the Buffer if you need.

Thanks for info.

Actually my question is just to know if existing stocks for AR15 can be used for a future AR10.

I have a Mapgul PRS for example.
