Have an opportunity to buy one these at a pretty reasonable price. I know you cant buy them at gun shops in Hawaii because they only come with 19rd mags. But i can have them fixed to 10 rd before he ships it here. Just curious how it shoots comapred to say my cz 75b, or glock 34. Anybody have one?

I only shot the 4" 40 cal and they are sweet shooters.
Oddly enough, I still prefer the XD over the XDm.
The XDm has hyper-agressive checkering on the grip, which you'll either love or not really like.
I like the stippling of the XD better.
My 9mm XD shoots buttery smooth.
You might want to go to OGC and check one out to see how it feels before buying if you can.
OGC carries them with the mags already blocked.

I went to ogc 6 months and bought my browning buckmark target and asked them about it. They told me they could not get them because of the 19 rd mag. You been there recently?
-
Nope, haven't looked for one recently but I bought one from them a while back ( maybe 3 or 4 years ago )
Later traded it for a Glock.
Probably should have kept it. :(

OGC sells the 5.25 Competition model in their store! I've lusted over one since seeing in the magazines and wistfully in the display case. Then got to handle one at the last range day but not fire it. I know they're wondering why I haven't bought one yet since I'm a diehard S.A. fan from the first one I got from Eugene way back when. With the increased barrel length it's going to shoot even sweeter than my GOTY early model. Maybe I'll just give in and get one too!!!

That's how I got my GOTY version with special rollmark back in 'bama :D Never felt undergunned with 19+1 on my hip then again didn't have anyone pointing a 12 gauge at me neither (whew) then I'd want a howitzer or flamethrower or something. If/when you bring here, disassemble all mags into parts only and have blocked to 10 rounds. GL!

Nice. I found the blocking kits online. Will just order them. He will send the mags disassembled to me directly .if I buy it. Thanks for info everybody. I Will be surprised if I like it as much as my cz75 though.

If you have the part # Carter is pretty good at getting back to you about availability if you post in their Forum.

Frickin' Ola did the gongho mind trick on me on that one.
He scored. Good thing he's a nice guy and it went to a good home. ( Did he sell it ? )

I agree, might not hurt to check with Carter.
Edit: Nevermind, I see you already did. Right On Wobbles. I'm sure you'll like it wherever you get it from.
