Where's the best place to get them? I'm looking to reload .45 ACP for the first time so no need be the best but just something decent. I tried to order online but they won't ship the primers and powder.

These are my usual go to LGS's for powder and primers (in no particular order)
- Security Equipment - http://www.sechawaii.com/ (http://www.sechawaii.com/)
- WGS (Windward Gun Shop) - http://windwardgunshop.com/ (http://windwardgunshop.com/)
- X-Ring - http://www.x-ringsecurity.com/ (http://www.x-ringsecurity.com/)
- Young Guns - http://hawaiisbestgunshop.com/index.html (http://hawaiisbestgunshop.com/index.html)
I'm sure there are others, but I have had luck with finding what I need from all of them in the past. If you want you can purchase bullets online though.

Thanks. Is it worth it to purchase bullets online considering the shipping cost? I always try to support our local stores but if cost is too huge I will purchase online.

It is worth ordering bullets online if you order like 500 or more. Some places offer no extra charge for shipping and others charge their cost using USPS. Using the PO is about $15 up to 60 or 70 pounds. If u are going to buy one or two boxes of bullets it would probably be better to just buy from an LGS.

Fast burning pistol powders for the 45 seem to be a hot commodity.
My friend just told me that WGS had COMPETITION in stock last week.
Some fast burning shotgun powders are very usable too. Some better than others.
I order bullets from Xtreme Bullets or Precision Delta. Their prices include shipping to HI.
For common practice loads, I cast my own bullets.

If you live by Aiea or Kaimuki you can try calling J Hara store or Roy's Fishing supply. They don't have as much as the other guys mentioned but might get lucky and save gas.

IMO it's worth ordering bullets in bulk (1000 +) online. I order all my 200 gr. Bullseye #1 or IDP #1 .45acp LSWCs through Missouri Bullet Company. If I order it online on a Saturday, it's here on Wednesday in the mail. Shipping is via Flat Rate. Powder and primers are bought locally. I use Alliant Bullseye exclusively for .45acp. Very fast powder and extremely accurate. Some say it dirtys up the gun, but I clean after shooting.

Look for coupon codes if you order bullet heads from Xtreme Bullets. Sometimes they give up to 10% off on selected heads. Just enter codes when you checkout.

Did you or anybody else order from Two Alapha Bullet? Just looking for feedback or a review, I just got off the phone with the guy and there is no online ordering. Payment requires a mailed check so I just want to be sure some of us have had a good experience with them.
With that said their prices are pretty dang good and they ship to Hawaii at 14$. Very nice!

Joe n Henry @ WGS is my go to spot if I look local. There a good pair of guys.
When not local really find luck on good ole Gunbroker.

I never buy bullets locally, ( they all cost way too much) order on-line. Montana Gold for pistol heads and OK Weber for rifle bullets. You can save a lot of money when ordering in bulk from these guys!
