Hawaii News Now had this headline: "Men suspected of robbing Makaha woman over Craigslist ad"
That makes it sound like the ad was somehow the object of robbery, not the items listed in the ad. I wonder sometimes why I didn't become a journalist. I mean, the standards are so low, I couldn't help but do quite well!! :)
Four men were being sought by police on Monday after allegedly robbing a Makaha woman who was attempting to sell items using a website that features classified advertisements.
Honolulu police say that a 24-year-old man and three other men met with the victim, a 23-year-old woman, on Monday morning to try and purchase the items she had listed on Craigslist.
When the suspects were shown the items, police officials say the suspects threatened the woman with handguns and fled, taking the items with them.
No arrests were made in connection with the case.
Honolulu police have not released any additional information in the case, and have not yet described the suspects.

Headline made sense to me.
Perhaps because I have heard of that scheme before.

*** UPDATE ***
MAKAHA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Police have arrested a 24-year old man suspected of holding up a Mililani woman who was trying to sell her Ipad on Craigslist.
The 23-year old woman met the man at a Makaha home on Ikuone Place. According to police, Alika Caspino asked to see and try the device before handing over money. Police say when the woman let him use the Ipad, he allegedly pulled out a gun and took off.
Caspino was arrested later at a 7-11 store.
Police say the two may know each other. :wtf:
Gregory Dunn of the Better Business Bureau says Craigslist users should never meet at a house unless they can bring a friend.
"That's particularly risky," says Dunn, "You want to be somewhere safe, out in the open."
The agency also issued a warning about a Craigslist scam involving the company, Easy Yard Sale. The BBB says it advertisers big-ticket items at bargain prices but buyers have to send money orders before the items can be shipped. The buyer never gets the items.
