Nakas
Is there a deadline date to confirm attendance, and do I have to turn in the entry form ahead of time?
Thanks.
-
you can email clifford ramson cram1903@yahoo.com by Friday June 8, you can turn the application in on the day of the tournament

There was some good shooting this weekend. Long days and long distance shooting.

Thanks Nakas and Teichi for your hard work. You made this weekend great fun!
Thank you!

How'd you guys do?

I didn't shoot. I was running the pits on Saturday and the line on Sunday.
-

These pictures are from the Aloha State Games NRA F-Class Tournament on Saturday 6/11/11 at Pu'uloa Range Training Facility, Ewa Beach. Distances were 300, 500, and 600 yards with 700, 800, 900, and 1000 yards coming very soon! Custom rifles included: KWM, Texas Brigade Armory, and Pacific Custom Rifles. Factory Rifles included: Savage Arms, Accuracy International, FN, and DPMS. Leupold, Weaver, U.S. Optics, Nightforce, and Premier Reticles scopes were used.
Don't let the BIG expensive names like Accuracy International or U.S. Optics fool you. Last year a competitor used a factory Remington 700 Police rifle, Leupold scope, hand loaded ammo and beat $2,500+ custom rifles with $3,000 Schmidt and Bender scopes. Sometimes, you can "turn water into wine." hahaha!
The pictures of the competitors shooting AR15's, M1A, and Garand were practicing for Sundays tournament.
Sorry no pictures from Sunday as I was participating in the tournament. Distances were 200, 300, and 600yards using iron sights. Interestingly though, the top 3 shooters from Sunday's Aloha State Games NRA High Power Service Rifle Tournament used Rock River National Match Rifle's. They must make a good rifle!
Scores from both days are at the bottom.

As you can see, Puuloa Rifle and Pistol IS open to civilians; contrary to what Daniel Oshima has been saying about our club. You don't need to be a member to shoot at our matches.
Since he is spreading lies that we are not civie friendly; I'll state why he is not welcome at the Marine Corps ranges.
A couple of years ago, he held classes that he and his associates charged $ under the guise of operating under our club. We did not condone his COMMERCIAL activity for which he benefited from; not only from the FREE use of a government facility but also under our club insurance policy for which we, non-salaried (read VOLUNTEERS) pay for with club dues and match fees.
Bottom line we are SHOOTER friendly but we must abide by rules and policies set forth by the Marine Corps.

wow, we are very fortunate that civilians can shoot there. Keep up the good work ren!

Thanks Heavies! I love shooting a service rifle but one day I'll shoot a bolt gun along with you guys and get owned. Hahaha!
