Title: Khsc traffic alert June 1

Subject:            Traffic Alert for Sunday June 01.
 
 
The Honolulu Ekiden Race will be held Sunday June 01.  Start at Kapiolani Park, all the way to Sandy Beach and back.  The makai (ocean) side lane (s) of Kalanianaole Highway will be closed.  Lane closures will start at 4:00AM on Sunday morning.  Should be pau by 11:00AM.
 
East bound on Kalanianaole Highway à you will be routed into Hawaii Kai and Kalama Valley to Sandy Beach.  Take a right at Kalanianaole Highway to the Range.
 
From Windward side à No change in route.

Thank you (lots) for the heads up gongho

One time I was stuck in traffic for 3 hours cuz of a marathon. Did a U and went around the long way and got there with like an hour left to shoot.

Why don't they route those races to the west side.... Going east just blocks traffic for miles
