A few of my friends living on the mainland will be coming home next month for my friend's wedding and they want to shoot a variety of guns. Any indoor ranges on Oahu besides HNL Firearms allow personal firearms? I want to shoot and practice on my own guns, especially since I am still new to shooting. Thanks in advance.

The only 2 indoor ranges that I am aware of are Honolulu Firearms and the Royal Hawaiian Shooting Club in Waikiki. The third coming up is XRing.

I would just bring them to khsc. A LOT cheaper to shoot and they can go sight seeing down that side after

Yeah I agree with dirsh. kumaWRX -- have you gone to the KHSC range before?
-
Waikiki Gun Range used to allow outside firearms but I don't think that's the case now. I wonder if X-Ring's range will be done by then or not?

True, but they want to shoot a variety of guns, and all I have right now are two pistols. Well they are living on the mainland now but they are from here so they don't really want to go sightseeing. Also, forgot to add, this will be in the evening time as it's part of a bachelor party.

Yes, but only for the LIFE handgun class in the action bay, I'm a Noob. (notice the capital N?)

Royal Hawaiian SC won't let you bring your own firearms to shoot, something about the policy of the Royal Hawaiian mall policy. Unless they changed it recently.

Evening..... Unless you know someone with a large piece of private property shooting range, your only choice is the Royal Hawaiian Shooting Club as it's geared for tourists and opens late (till 11pm). They'll have a variety of guns you can try but be prepared to spend money. I don't think Honolulu Firearm and Range opens late.
Alternatively, why not do it during the day? If it's the last Sunday of the month, you can go to the HRA Fun Shoot... Bring ammo and make friends with the HRA folks.

Ok, just found out my friend (not the one getting married) made a reservation at Waikiki Gun Club, they open til 11:30. So much for a range where you can bring your own guns. I guess I'll purchase one of the cheaper packages. :( Thanks for the help though.

From what I remember the guns at Waikiki Gun Club will be chained down so that the firearms can only be pointed down range and the instructors are pretty pushy on making customers tip after they are done shooting.

Thanks for the heads up. I hate when people are pushy on tipping, makes me tip less or not at all.

With you owning your own firearms and knowing how much ammo costs, you'll find that none of the packages are cheap. If it's not too late you guys should check out the rates at the other ranges on kuhio ave.

Interesting... How many indoor ranges are there in Waikiki?
-
Off the top of my head Royal Hawaiian SC, Waikiki gun club, SWAT GC, and Hawaii GC.

The one I went to years ago was chained down but they didn't push tips. It wasn't the one in Royal Hawaiian but I don't recall the name. They basically do everything for you, it's all point and shoot, you don't get to load/unload your firearm. If I recall correctly, I think the cheapest package allows you to shoot 3 guns, a .22 handgun, 9MM, and AR-15.
