Post by: Heavies on June 21, 2014, 01:04:13 PM
What is the deal on all these places and commercials pushing the soccer game?  Seems off to me  ???

Does any American really care about pro soccer?

According to a news report, as many people in the US watched the World Cup as the Super Bowl this year.  Probably because the US had a chance to win.

I don't watch sports much at all. So I'm not the one to use as a litmus test!  :)

I hate pro soccer but I love the World Cup. It's national soccer, not pro.
All the best pros go home to play for their national teams. ( except the Brazilian guy who decided to play for Spain which got knocked out after their first 2 games. )

If anyone saw the superman header the Netherlands guy did in the opener against Brazil, I think you'd appreciate it.
40 yard pass in the air, guy lays out parallel to the ground and heads it in over the Goalie.

GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL !
Ole Ole, Ole Ole Ole !

At least this year they don't have those damn horns like they had in South Africa 4 years ago.
( And the Brazilian chicks in the stands are hot  :D)
