I have a Surefire M300 light with a tape switch and a Magpul Illumination kit that I got for free. I also have a Noveske keymod rail. How do I use that Magpul kit to attach to a keymod rail or am I just supposed to use the double stick tape that the flashlight came with?

double stick tape, alittle bit of duct tape and a dab of superglue ;D

The keymod handguards are designed to use removable rail sections. I would put a rail piece where I wanted the remote pressure switch, then attach a picatinny switch mount to that.
If the slots aren't in the right place for where you want the switch, then adhesive is the obvious option.

Google it

You can use small zip ties. I've seen it done, but haven't tried it myself.

Some chewing gum and spit, problem solved.

I did google it, idk why people say to do that. that's why i'm posting it here. I couldn't find anything about the illumination kit fitting on a keymod system or a specific keymod kit that holds the tape light. im starting to not like the keymod system.

I've never liked it. Nice idea for training with a variety of accessories in different positions for different situations, but most people find how they like the accessories mounted and leave them that way.
I like the Troy/VTAC Alpha handguard. Lots more flexibility in where to locate the rail pieces for a more customized setup. Who cares if you have to line up a screw with a locknut inside the handguard? Not like you need to do that under fire or anything!
Plus, I don't like the keyhole cutouts along the handguard. They somehow don't look like right to me. Maybe I like a uniform pattern for the cooling holes? Probably OCD...
I've compared the keymod products with others, and I've never quite seen the attraction to them. I'm sure others have the opposite opinion. Your mileage may vary, as they say!

Most illumination tape switches are going to be attached on the picatinny portion of your rail. There's a number of solutions pictured when you look under images. Those images should link you back to the article/post/review the picture was used in. I found something from Ergo Grips, there was an elastic band looking contraption with a pocket for the tape switch, one guy even used double sided velcro.

What illumination kit are you referring to? Are you referring to the Magpul Illumination kit for tape switches? I can tell you now that that particular system was not meant for keymod, it was designed for use with Magpul's hand guards. The way that illumination kit secures to the hand guard makes it incompatible with keymod.

I saw that article but wasn't what I wanted to hear. lol. i was hoping there was a mod I could do to the magpul illumination kit or some type of keymod rail that would fit that kit or a keymod rail that is meant for the tape switch. i don't really want to use the double stick tape.
Edit: I figured it out.
