Title: HPD's new Chief & his views on CCW?
Post by: wingnut on November 26, 2009, 10:24:25 PM
Hello All:
I just moved to the state and observed that HPD has a new Chief.  Does any one know what his positions are on CCW?  I understand HI is in the same catagory as N.Y and N.J as far as issuing CCW's to law abiding citizens.  What is the pro 2a community doing to help advance the issue?

From the sparse information available, Kealoha (the new chief of police) was the most viable pro-gun candidate.  He was backed by both the NRA and Hawaii's HRA.  So I would think he would be most likely to support CCW, but I can't say for sure.
