Title: "survival" Apps?
Post by: Cynt on June 21, 2011, 08:08:44 PM
I know there's a lot of them out there but what are some of the "survival" apps you guys use for getting news, storing info, lists, managing preps, gps or compass or anything else?

Figured be something fun and informative.

What's a great storage device for electronic records of a whole bunch of crap is my Nook from Barnes & Nobles. Kindle too. Whatever your flavor is.

I've got a whole bunch of random survival stuff in there I haven't even looked at yet. lol. Armchair survivalist!

So I don't have apps, but I have tons of books in my e-reader.

Although I wouldn't rely on any prepper apps or phone service for that matter.... they make for good reading and awareness....

Look up:

US Survival Manual App.
US ARMY Survival Guide App.
First Aid App.
Scanner Radio App. (Weather, Police Scanner)
GPS Status App.
Google Maps
Swiss Army App. (bunch of "tools")
Tunein Radio App. (Gives local radio access)
NOAA Weather
KHON 2 News App.
KITV News  App.
The Weather Channel
Hawaii Tsunami Info App.

Tried em' all... pretty good stuff.
