Title: Is the firearms registration closed on Friday due to the storm?
Post by: rustyeleio on August 07, 2014, 01:43:02 PM
Updated again 4pm: HPD Firearms confirmed that the official word came that they are closed on Friday.   :'(

anybody know if the HPD firearms window is closed tomorrow because of the storm?  thanks in advance.

Update: i called them and even they havent heard anything definite.  Rumors that the Mayor is cancelling work except for essential services but only a rumor.  I gotta register my baby... :(

I would assume anything non-essential would be closed tomorrow morning since the brunt of the storm will hit us around 8am.

Except maybe chinese restaurants.  They're pretty reliable to be open anytime.  Even in a nuclear holocaust.

I am 99.9% sure that they will be fine for people coming in on Monday or Tuesday but I actually need to get my permit to acquire paperwork started so I can claim my new toy.  I said registration but I meant permit.  I am still bummed cause I can't even take her home with me...

My permit will be ready on Monday, but I'm sure I'll be busy with cleanup.Over here, the city and state sent everyone home at noon. Right about when the rains came.
