Are the DPMS .308 Gen I lower receivers compatible with the DPMS .308 GII Upper receivers?

Good question.

Already pissed at DPMS with changing receiver heights on Gen1, and now this crap. 

How many different variations of handguards do they expect aftermarket makers to stock?

Why I am thinking of going M1A or bolt gun.  Will stay .308, but get off the merry-go-round.
