Title: HiPoint carbine aftermarket stocks
Post by: Tom_G on July 30, 2011, 10:00:07 PM
Aloha, fellow HiPoint carbine owners!

I just want to know, how many of you have sprung for an aftermarket stock on your carbine?  And, if you have, how happy are you with it?

I confess, I am a bit tired of the abrasion and potential pinching caused by the OEM split stock, as well as the hassle it causes in the cleaning process.  However, I am not a fan of the idea of spending more $$ on a rifle that cost me under $200.  Sell me! (or not)

I think I need to pick up one of this HiPoint carbines. While I don't have any real experience, I've always liked the look of it with the ATI stock (http://www.atigunstocks.com/p-30-hi-point-stock-9mm-carbine-replacement-stock.aspx) on it. I've seen it for around $50, so it's not too expensive.

2A, the HPC is an amazing little gun.  Sure, it is lacking in bells and whistles.  Sure, the fit and finish is nonexistent.  But they are rock-solid in terms of reliability, and pretty amazing in terms of accuracy.  And for $200 NIB, well, everyone should have one!

Hey Tom_G, do you have a shroud on yours? I was thinking of putting a shroud...
