Welcome to another edition of the Hdf range day fellow shooter's!
This one is gonna be special!!! So read closely because there are requirements to this one....
Because it's the end of the year we the staff at the HDF thought it would be fun to make this range day a surprise just like the gifts you just unwrapped. So here are the rules and the required "Tools".
♤ first and most importantly you must have attended our pistol and a rifle instruction at least once.
♢ this month will be a random mix so you must bring all of the firearm platform below and nessary "tools" ( holsters pouches ammo etc etc.)
♡next you will need to bring a pistol and a carbine and a shot gun.
♢ you will need to have a holster for your pistol and extra magazine pouches for both pistol and rifle. As for ammo count p100 r 100 s 50. Approx.
Ok so there it is folks sign up now size of this event is strictly limited due to the context of this event. You really don't want to miss this one.... OK GO!
For the people who like to utilize the open shoot portion of the day it will be at 8am til 10am and the festivities will start at 11 am .

it's a mini "fun match"
nothing really competitive, just to try your skills in different settings/scenarios
will be geared toward the beginning shooter
static shooting zones, etc
safety and fun are the first two priorities

It was ONLY an educated guess.....I won't be able to make it but I'm sure it's going to rock :thumbsup: I'm down for the next one though.

I have a question. Don't know if it's the right place to ask but what are the requirements to come out to these events? I just moved from gun loving ccw having merica (las vegas) been through all kinds of classes (front sight, ready tactical and other ccw/ advanced classes) I've been researching for a little over a month now and this is the closest thing I could find that would allow me to shoot my guns how I'm used to. (Run an gun) my toys are ready just have to try and find my plate carrier and mag pouches for my rifle. Any help guys thank you!

The Range Day is open to all and we are always welcoming of new shooters. What we do for each particular Range Day will vary so you just have to read the postings by Dirtylickins or Macsack to see what gear will be required. It sounds like you're pretty squared away with the tactical gear. The other things that people routinely bring are hydration, food, sunscreen, folding chairs, and portable shade. :shaka:

Thanks bota! Yeah I had a set group of friend and my family that would run drills in the desert back in LV almost every weekend or when we had the chance. Lol. But here, never even shot once. I feel like it's a waste of time and money to sit on a bench shooting at paper if I'm not training then I'm not shooting. I'm hoping I can find my plate carrier in time and it's not one of my boxes I left behind in LV. =/

No need much gear this month
Open shoot from 8-10
After that is a session that is limited to previous attendees
Regular classes will resume next month
We are not a run and gun group
We teach basic pistol rifle and shotgun skills and have recently added an intermediate class that has a qualification test
Come and meet the gang and hang out and shoot
Open shoot you can bring anything that is legal in hawaii
10 rounds max in magazine
Controlled fire only

our group has been in charge since fall 2013, so if you read the thread backwards, you can get an idea of what we have been doing
each month also has an individual thread in this subforum
this month is an open shoot in the am (8-10) so just bring pistol rifle, shotgun, and ammo
we will have different targets at different distances
show up early to help set up and sign in

The staff at the HDF range day would like to thank all who came out and joined us. We really appreciate the support, enthusiasm and the great attitudes that everyone brings to these sessions. I also have the results and your placement for the match if you attended. Example Tom G he placed 10th overall. JERRY MICHULIK would be proud of him. Lol
