Title: Ordering online shipping gun powder on island?

Is it possible to order powder online and have it shipped to my home address at regular shipping costs to HI?  Any hidden costs or anything I'm not thinking of?

Can't ship powder via air
must have freight forwarder on ship

one hazmat fee to the freight forwarder (normally on the west coast.
another Hazmat fee plus frieght forwarded shipping fee.
Cannot be shipped via ORM-D


This applies to ammunition, primers, powder, caps, paint thinner and bleach.

an additional $150-$200 per shipment is the norm under 100lbs

Yes, it is possible to order power online.  Powder Valley is one - google it.  You can get 50 or 100 pounds shipped depending who you speak with at the company, I have been told both.  Hazmat and shipping fee is a flat $350.00 whether you order 1 pound or max (50 or 100).  No hidden costs.  Not sure of other online retailers as Powder Valley has been the most responsive and willing to ship to Hawaii.  I do not think you will find what you want as powder (and most primers) have been "out of stock" since Sandy Hook.

Not sure if it can be drop shipped to your home.  I had to pick up the last powder order at Fed Ex sorting facility near the airport.  Previous order (2-1/2 years ago), before additional Homeland Security requirements, was delivered right to my door.   :geekdanc:
