My kanikapila friend is trying out for the part of Disney Princess Moana.
I have known and played with this family for about 5 years and I can tell you that she is the real deal.
Please go to their youtube video and watch her audition and tell your friends and family about her.
Share it through every form of social media that you use.
Everything that she claims in the video is real and all of the singing is hers.
She could qualify as a genuine princess.

Here is a little more background information:
I met them through my other music friend about 5 years ago. We were at White Plains beach and when my son heard her sing he said, "Dad! she sounds like Raiatea (Helm)!"
She was 11 years old then.
Her older brother is a 6, 12, and steel guitar prodigy.
Her younger brother was only six when he started playing in their family band.
Mom and Dad home schooled them.They are remarkable people too.
Last year I asked them to play at my son's graduation party and they just knocked the socks off of our family and friends.

Dang, the more I browse this site the more I love Hawai'i.

Say, it is warmer than 17°F down there right now, isn't it?

She sounds like a very intelligent young woman. She might not fit in with all the Disney girl lineups that all ended up a mess. Personally, I would keep daughters away from anything Disney.

A few years ago she caught a ride with me to go to a kanikapila.
We conversed about this n' that. I was really impressed with her level of maturity.
That is why I am rooting for her.
The mom and dad keep a close watch on the activities of all those kids...in a good way.

Yep, that gal can sing...real hawaiian music.
Not like the other mariah carey wannabees.
Fyi, in real life she carries herself with grace and dignity . Even when bickering with the 2 brothers.

She must be an angel.  I didn't see her wings in the video, though.
