I am wondering if we could get a list of the pro 2A lawyers practicing law in the islands?
Names, emails, phone.
Might make them targets for the anti's, however. May be not such a good idea on the open net?
Thoughts?
So we can know who to turn to if the need ever arises.
Thanks

HRA provides members with local referrals to pro-2A lawyers.....we don't have a lot, but we have a few.......
-
Well -- as far as I can tell there are only a few.
I know two are Richard Holcomb and Kevin O'grady. I'm sure there are others (I know some) but I can't post their names.
NRA also maintains a referral list of attorneys that have said to the NRA they support the 2A.

And me.

And me.
An attorney named "smomo"
What? Clown school didn't pan out?
Hahaha
I'm just kidding. I couldn't help myself.

Found this link from the NRA
http://www.nraila.org/issues/faq/?s=105 (http://www.nraila.org/issues/faq/?s=105)
The Office of Legislative Counsel can often assist NRA members who have questions of a legal nature. In addition, this office maintains an attorney referral list and can often provide NRA members with the name of an attorney in their area. If you are a member and are in need of this service, please call (703) 267-1161 to see if there is an attorney in your area.

Ok, so I called and they said there are no attorneys named "smomo",
What gives?

Why all the hate going on here? I, like most everyone else, prefer not to post personal info on the forum.

No hate here.
:shaka:
It's just that your name cracks me up.
How did you come up with the name?

Just you watch Keoni, "smomo" is going to turn out to be a nickname for Sam Slom. :P

Just skeptical of those who claim 2a support with like 4 posts to their name;. More importantly, the thread is to get the contact information of said attorney. None of here are going to refer someone to smomo, you know? Do me a favor, PM me your bar # / firm. I've met quite a few lawyers, but if your actually interested in the 2A we should talk =).

Whats a 2a friendly lawyer? isnt any lawyer you find in the phone book 2a friendly if you show them the money?

Whats a 2a friendly lawyer? isnt any lawyer you find in the phone book 2a friendly if you show them the money?
Certainly not. I know there are many lawyers in the Honolulu phone book that said the Second Amendment is not a civil right.

I believe that the lawyer needs to be a firm beliver in the 2nd amendment, the right of an indiviual to protect themselves and their family against violent agressors, and the knowlege of all laws and cases applicable to mount an effective defense, should the need arise.
Especially in this state, which is so totally against defending oneself. The government here seems to want you to,
A: Call the police to come pick up your dead body after you or a family member have been beaten, shot, stabbed to death
B: Send you to prison for using an impliment to defend yourself from a violent offender, with deadly force, inside, outside, beside, or upside your home, personal space, or where ever.
Point blank, if you ever had to defend yourself or your loved ones, you are pretty much scewed!
That is the reason for me starting this tread.
If folks are going to trash the lawyers that believe in the 2nd and self-defense, then please disregard this thread.
No wonder no one wants to be named publicly! :grrr:

After a brief PM chat with smomo, it turns out he is a lawyer but not a 2a lawyer. Just one that supports 2a rights. Right on.
-
Yes I was asking about lawyers that are 'pro 2A' , not '2A lawyers' .
Sorry I wasn't too clear.
Guess this thread was a bad idea. :(
Sorry
-
Haha, I guess it was confusing for all of us. I thought you meant practicing 2a lawyers. I'm sure there are a whole bunch of pro 2a lawyers.
-
All this time I thought this was a pro H-2A website, committed to the harvesting of produce.

PERSEC and OPSEC.
I agree. Even if just poking fun. PI is not something to take lightly. It is a reason I no longer participate in "Forum Polls" that look friendly but could be data mining schemes. There is enough of that going on already that most are not aware of. I too choose not to volenteer more info than needed.

Not to offend anyone but if you're so scared to go online and even participate in an online poll then why bother even using a computer.
Just put on your tin foil hat and sit in the basement.
Online forums are all about interaction and having some fun.
If you don't intend to participate then beat it.

I don't think "not participating" was the point of the statement, it's about volunteering personal information. Polls around here like "What's your favorite gun brand" are all in good fun, but I've seen some places run polls that screamed data mining scam. Making a choice not to take part in any poll might be extreme, but that's their right. One can never be too careful.
As far as telling someone to "beat it" for not wanting to take part in a poll? Well I don't think that's right. A choice not play along with a frivolous poll does not mean that person doesn't have something to contribute to a particular cause. Maybe it's just me, but I could give a rats ass what race, religion, creed, etc someone has when it comes to supporting 2A rights.

I'm a pro-2A tour guide!

You know, you could probably look at the three lawyers representing HDF in its suit against Hawaii. I am willing to bet that those guys are pro 2A.
