Title: Announcement of USAF EIC Match 19-20 Feb 15 at CATM Range Schofield

The 647th Security Forces Squadron is excited to sponsor an Excellence in Competition Rifle Match on the 19th, 20th February 2015. Sign-ups will begin on 5 January 15; potential competitors may sign up by phone at DSN:  655-5086 or by email at derrick.koch@us.af.mil or 647sfs.combatarms@us.af.mil. You will need to provide the following information: Name, Rank, Squadron, Duty or Home phone numbers. The competition is open to all Armed forces active, guard, and reserve individuals. Due to our ammunition allotment, only the first 200 shooters will be guaranteed a slot in the competition.  The first 225 shooters will be allowed to register and the remaining 25 will be placed on standby in the order they sign up.  Standby shooters will be assigned a time and date that they need to show up, if a competitor fails to show.

 Shooters MUST be familiar with the weapon and its operation prior to the match.  There will be no instruction given on the operation of the weapon, other than a safety briefing.

So points-wise, is this the equivalent to a SAFS M16 match?

Yes. 4 introductory points only. If you cuurently have points, you will not be eligible to get any from this match.

Is there another USAF EIC match at the CATM Range on Schofield Bks. in the coming future?

There was a rifle EIC match last week (19 - 21 Aug). According to SSgt Koch, who runs the EIC matches, they're trying to put one on once a quarter. But nothing is scheduled currently.

They're planning a pistol EIC match early next year; don't know when the next rifle match is planned.
