Texas House Passed Open Carry today, with CHL
Now Senate & House have to work details.

Texas probably has more guns on their streets than Hawaii has guns registered.

IMO we need more of "Texas" type laws concerning firearms and protecting ones property.

Years ago when I lived in the DFW area there were a few car and house break ins in the neighborhood. The prime suspects of the breakins were the teenagers across the street.
One night I heard someone in my driveway and went outside armed, the group of teens were across the street. I investigated my truck and house, making sure the group across the street saw my pistol. They tensed up when seeing the firearm, I waved at them and went back inside.......no more bumps in the night and never a break in.
The teens knew the Texas laws and they could get shot,so my house never got messed with and I was able to keep it "friendly" at the same time.
