Folks, does the new single stack Glock 9mm use special mags? Or will a 17 or 19 ten-round mag fit?

No

Not sure but watch the very beginning, I guess G43 mags can function in a 26 somewhat.

A thought on the mag extensions....
This pistol is a serious sd carry piece.
They went through a lot of trouble to create a little gun.
Why make it bigger?
Also, I would tend NOT to trust a bolt on aftermarket accesory on my serious carry gun.
Jus my opinion...

An extended mag floorplate is hardly "bolt on". It's a replacement for the existing floorplate, connects exactly the same as the original, and is made of the same materials as the rest of the magazine.
I have extensions on my G42 mags, and they make a difference in getting firm purchase on the gun.

Not just my opinion. Everyone who tries my G42, M&P Shield 9MM and G26 agree the longer mags gives them a better grip by providing a place for their pinky to rest.
YMMV

I was refering to the link for plus 1 or 2 extensions.
I have no problem with just an extended grip, but to modify the mag to hold 1 or 2 extra rounds without changing the spring seems like asking for trouble.
a side note...a few years ago I sampled a g26 with extended bottom to aid grjpping.
That thing kept pinching my finger in the slight gap between the mag ext. and frame.
It was unpleasant.

Glock better come out with a factory extended mag soon or this is a deal breaker!
Would be nice to carry the standard mag in the pistol and the extended mag in a pouch. Why must Glock torture us so... :'(
Hell, can't carry in Hawaii anyway (yet?) so I guess it is a moot point. Still a nice pistol for Glock lovers with small hands because the trigger reach is a little shorter and the grip narrower which combine into small hand heaven.
