where are legal locations to meet to show a firearm? besides hpd and gun stores.
-
I would think the range and possibly places where hunting with firearms are legal.
-
Long gun or hand gun? I'd think a private residence would be okay.

I assume he doesn't want the buyer to know where he lives so that wouldn't work. And he can't take it to the buyer's home since it's not a legal place to transport to.
Never thought about it, but I guess HPD and the range are the only legal and practical choices. Gun stores probably don't want people doing private transactions on their property. You probably need a hunting permit on hunting lands.

Koko Head Range when it's open

Would the parking lot at a strip mall with a Sports Authority work? From a passer by, it would look shady 2 people gawking at a firearm.
-
I've always meet people at large parking lots in Hawaii.

Please clarify.Isn't the seller supposed to provide his/her address with the handgun serial number to the buyer for the permit to acquire process? Thanks.

The seller can give you his name, the specs on the gun, and the G-number from the existing permit. HPD can look up the permit using the G-number to get all of the seller's info.
