Title: Firearms must be locked and dissambled in the house
Post by: beekeeping1341 on June 08, 2015, 08:39:39 AM: So the supreme court just went ahead and said it was OK for jurisdictions to go ahead and ban assembled firearms in the house for self defense.

So not only can you not carry outside of the home in certain jurisdictions, but now you can't even keep an assembled firearm in the house for home defense.

Oh, and hollow points are also evil and are OK for jurisdictions to ban.

problem is..... even though it cannot really be enforced, if you so happen to need to use them, you are now screwed. Making the victim the criminal.

Many other countries actually have home inspection for firearms. If this country keeps electing the same, I can see this down the road. Too much of "that could never happen in the USA" mentality.

if the law passes preventing anyone from posting detailed gun information on the Internet without fed approval,

a bunch of us are going to have gun parts laying around the house with no hope of reassembling them!!

Usually there needs to be conflicting rulings among the 9 federal courts of appeals first before SCOTUS takes up the case. I'm sure it'll come around sooner or later. If we get a conservative president that can replace some liberals in the court, that would give us a better chance of overturning more gun control in the future.
