so i was in the tent before the ssf opened this morning
i saw one of my patients and his son heading towards the line to sign in
a moment later, i didn't see him in line, so i wondered where he went
a long time later, i spotted them getting in line, but much further back
i asked him where he went
he said that they were there early, so they decided to walk the rifle line to check things out
he told me a guy saw him looking and offered to let him shoot his rifle
i asked him where it was, and he said, "way down at the end of the line"
i smiled to myself, and asked what the guy's name was, and he said, "****"
i laughed and said i know him, and since my patient works at hawaiian electric, i told him that the guy was in construction
he said, "yeah, he said he was an Inspector"
thanks, inspector, for being an ambassador for our community
and also big ups to hicarry, oldfart, hnl flyboy, dirtylickins, mrs. lickins, histate, and everyone else who were promoting safe and fun today at the shooting sports fair

Thanks Mac!
It's too bad his son was so intimidated by the guns. He could have shot them, too!

A very big thank you to all of the volunteers that helped out...from the folks (including macsak..) that helped clean up the range before the event, to the guys that managed the parking and registration, to the folks that reloaded the magazines and helped clean the guns after the event.
If it wasn't for the support of all these wonderful members of Hawaii's gun community, the event would never be the success it has become. Thank you every one!!

Can't believe all you guys were there and I didn't even know it!!
I worked the 308 booth (HK,Scar & AR10) on Sunday with Brandon.....had a great time!! It was really cool to see so many different types of people there! We had people who had never shot before to avid gun enthusiasts all in the same place enjoying themselves and the atmosphere was soooo positive and friendly, def success story for Hawaii's gun community and the HRA!! :shaka:
