Venus and Jupiter converge this Tuesday June 30 possibly forming what once was the Star over Bethlehem when Christ was born on 3-2 BC.  This time though, we should be able to see it on our hemisphere.

So that's what that is.  I thought my astigmatism was getting worse.  Every night for the last couple of weeks when I was going home i would see that super bright "twin star" thing so I thought it was my eyes getting worse. :o   Nice to know that it was supposed to look like that.

Was not impressed as the news blew it up to be something special.

everyone was making it sound like the stars would be "stacked" ontop each other, but it had a big gap, but i guess In universe measurements that's close

Too cloudy to see here. Blast !  Also, Mars came close to hiding behind the sun last week.

Forgot all about this, but read an article that said something about being the exact opposite of the original Star of Bethlehem which was in winter and led wisemen  to the birthplace of Christ.
Some movie in the 90's mentioned a similar Star which announced the birth of the Lord's opposite.
Kinda remember reading an article that the Pope during the early 60's mentioned that evil came into this world.  Hmm, wonder if it was 1961?
