Title: Amount of kevlar layers needed for 3A vest

So I have an old SOC backpack with the foam banking removed, I want to replace that backing with Kevlar to make it 3A, I fink know how many layers a standard 3a uses.... I will test a portion ( at a range taped to a target) before I trust my work, lol. Thanks!
