Thanks for the picker-upper! I've been reading up on Drudge about asshats wanting to suspend elections, saying that healthy diet legislation is the highest duty of government, and so on; it's nice to read some good news for a change. The country is going down the tubes left and right, except in the area of Second Amendment freedoms. Thank God for small favors!

OUS chancellor George Pernsteiner said, “We are disappointed in the ruling of the Court in this case and will consider our options. Our greatest concern is for the safety of our students and the entire campus community. Whether accidental or intentional, firearms violence continues to hurt or kill thousands of Americans each year in this country. We will continue to review the opinion in order to consider future options to protect the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Hhhmmmmm........perhaps while they are at it, they should ban mopeds and cars from campus as they "hurt or kill thousands of Americans each year in this country."
Good for the legal firearms owners up there.

The chancellor's comment is what drives me nucking futs about gun grabbers. Doesn't matter what the 2A says, doesn't matter what the legislature says, doesn't matter what the courts say; they're going to find a way to keep guns off campus. Oba-Mao tells supporters he's working "under the radar" to enact gun control, (although in his defense, it was probably an empty promise like all the others) and the Oregon University System is going to "examine their options". What a bunch of crap.
