Hi, Does anyone use parts with the Nib coating? I bought a BCG and a few other parts with it and I was wondering how it stands up to your weather and conditions. I living in Florida and have humid and wet weather here also.
Here's a link to the products page.

To be perfectly honest, I cannot tell the difference in regards to how it holds up due to the climate here, but I also keep my firearms stored in a safe so they are not as exposed to the humidity. When it comes to cleaning, I do find the NiB coated parts wipe down fairly easily as compared to the non coated parts( you can feel a slick coating). That being said would I buy more NiB coated BCG's ? Most definitely, call it peace of mind. .....JMO hope it helps

I have an NiB BCG and it rocks! 300 rounds through it, pulled it out and wiped it off with a dry rag and it looks like brand new. Zero carbon buildup. Zero wear marks.
I highly recommend it if you have the means!

Mahalo Ed.
Looks like the prices of NIB BCGs have come down some. Geez another thing to spend money on.
Also Daniel Defense makes a semi auto BCG that my old Colt 6600 lower with the sear block can use.

Actually, the price for the one I have has gone up a little, but IMHO it's worth it. RA only sells quality pieces and their flat rate shipping is hard to beat.
