Lexington County, SC.
Sgt. Major Michael Heintz, age 44; a 22 year veteran died at the range from a gunshot. . He was using a .50 cal. pistol.
On his second shot at the range his .50 AE cal. weapon recoiled!

A similar incident happened many many years ago, (in TX if my memory is right.) which also involved a 50 Desert Eagle. The victim did a double tap and was struck in the head with the massive recoil of the first shot.

Another victim of an often overlooked mistake. With those big calibers you should only have 1 round in the magazine or cylinder when shooting it for the first time. A very unfortunate and completely avoidable accident. :-[
