I would vote for him if I were a resident of his little town.

Texas is a great place, however there are some cities like Austin that are becoming dominated by the same people who moved into Cali and wrecked that place.  Ironically they are moving into other states since they cannot afford their utopia anymore and are infecting other cities and states now.  I seriously considered Texas for post retirement and indeed there are some great places and people there.

I also agree with that Sheriff, another one from Florida that went public, the Detroit Chief, crazy Joe Arpaio and I applaud other LE officials for coming forward and speaking the truth.

I'm thinking about it - shopping for a reasonable home in Hawaii is depressing :(

You don't want to know what $500K will get you just outside Austin.........

Guns,  NO Registration, CCW, Open Carry, Full Auto, Suppressed,  Great Hunting.

Real Gun Shows every weekend.

Worse yet, my BIL works at a Gun Store/Range combo.........

I have a good friend that just moved there from here. Sad to see him go but I don't blame him. He just paid $350k for a large home next to a lake with his own boat dock. Large lot and neighbors not close. He is happy and content fishing and shooting.

The problem I am experiencing is I found a reasonable home in Makakilo and the drive is killing me right now. I have 2 more years on this project.  :(  After that I hope to go back to local kine stuff like I was doing before.

Where are you looking?
