Interesting read. Let's hope this comes to fruition and everything he said/imposed today gets nullified. Judge Napolitano always seems pretty well versed in law and explains it well

The problem is how long the EO will be in place until it is thrown out in court.
I think barry soetoro is banking on hillary winning the election, which is why he really doesn't give a shit about the repercussions.

So if I read this correctly then what is HPD's role in registering a gun where an occasional seller sells a gun to another person without a background check? If they register the gun are they not enabling the illegal transaction? Are not all the sellers of firearms on this forum attempting to break the law by not being licensed and able to provide a background check of the buyer? Not that we would do anything to break the law. I am just not sure how to interpret this EO?

Hawaii's already pretty much instituted this, only harsher.
Every handgun sale, private or dealer, requires a background check via the permit system, plus a two week wait.
(Plus what seems like 7 trips to the police station)
Rifles require a permit which has a background check within the last 12 months.
I don't know if that suffices for rifles under the Obummer EO.
I know I and a lot of folks on this forum are not making profits from gun sales. Just looking for good homes and not to take a licking.
I think his posturing is mostly symbolic and won't affect many people.
Probably none here in Hawaii.
