Title: Recommendations and advice on selecting an Exterminator
Post by: dustoff003 on February 03, 2016, 07:10:59 PM
Howdy folks I need to have two things done I need to have a Termite inspection done on my home and I'd like to establish extermination service.

Who do/did you use and why?

Is one company better than the others or do they all do the same thing?

Out of the local companies who's good?

Out of the mainland companies who's good?

Who have you had problems with, PM if you don't want to post here?

What should I expect to pay for a) the termite insp. and b) monthly or quarterly service?

Anything else I didn't ask about that you think I should know. If your in the industry let me know, I know one member who is.

Thanks in advance

Went with Kama'aina because of the discounts.

Seems to have worked OK

Terminix here because already have their general quarterly pest service, carry over from previous owner.  No crawling bugs make it to inside.  Added termite coverage just because so they put those in ground things all  around the perimeter.  I don't even remember the cost but was over a grand?

Grimm Reaper.
They're not the least expensive, but they did a great job getting rid and keeping termites away after another well know local company had already treated the house.
Remember, treatment is always cheaper than repairing termite damage....

I use Terminix. Not the cheapest by a small margin, not the most expensive either. I have both quarterly spraying and termite protection. And they will come out more often to spray if you call them.

Been happy with the results as since about 3 months after the first spraying (I called them out once or twice after the first). No critters getting in. Find dead ones around the perimeter.
