I was considering stopping but the LIFE/HRA "Funshoot" to renew my membership this weekend. I attended the event almost two year ago. It was good. I just did not enjoy the long laborious lecture from one of the instructors who talked about his gun shop and lauded his skill sets. I have nothing against the young man. It is a free a country and we greatly appreciated his time and efforts to set up the event. I just wanted to know if he will still be there on the 13th giving random and opinionated advice when it comes to pistol fundamentals. Once again folks, I have nothing against the young man. I just felt he took quite a bit of time from the event when it could have been used a bit more constructively in my opinion.
Any advice is welcomed and I would appreciate any feedback if it is worth it to attend. Thank you folks!
I notice there has been quite a bit of bashing on this network, so please understand that I have nothing against the young instructor. He means well, and I wanted to save my self a trip if the event is much as it was sometime ago. These guys are volunteers and they are spending their valuable time to showcase their particular skill stets as appose to not doing anything in the local shooting community. Weather it is wrong or right advice, they are doing something to make the local shooting community a better place.

I think the guy you're talking about still runs the show, but I didn't find him nearly as objectionable.

AWS-GTAW - once again, I am looking at the format. It's interesting you feel compelled to capture our quotes. Once again, keep this clean. The second captured quote is not my main objective. Do not take our words out of context. Enough with the tolling and lets move in a positive direction.

Format, meaning if the guy is going to be there? Our quotes ??? Don't you mean (your) quotes? FYI I am squeaky clean. Maybe it is you with the name calling and insinuation of calling me a troll?
Your words were not out of context it was simply a quote of your question you posted previously. I believe I am very positive, maybe it is you that is negative.

H2A - Do not even worry it. This petty bickering is a waste of time. It also seems like you have to be politically correct. Posting used to be fun and informative. Now, you can not even say what is on your mind with out someone getting all touchy feely. **** it!

I don't go to the funshoots. I checked it out and it is not my bag. I'm more a serious training and serious competition. There's a gun and a gun game for everyone. It just takes time to find it.
