Title: Selling a rifle to a buyer in the mainland

I have a quick question and have not been able to find much else about this, I have a rifle that someone wants to buy. What is the best way to secure payment and any recommends shops for shipping to be buyers FFL? One last one what's the average cost to ship a rifle with a few accessories? Thanks in advance, I've bought plenty to have shipped here but never sold a weapon out of state.

Payment:
a. personal check and wait until it clears to ship
b. USPS Money Order
c. PayPal gift

Shipping: Rifles can ship USPS shipping depends on size and weight. I'd also recommend insurance (have the purchaser pay for it make it payable to them) and signature confirmation adult signature required.

FFL: see if the buyers FFL will accept shipments/transfers from non FFL private individuals, if yes coordinate directly with them and ship it they may want a copy of your ID for their records, if no give the buyers FFL info to a shop here and have them ship it out for you. If you have to go the FFL to FFL route it would be helpful if you have the rifle and packaging ready for the shop here when you bring it in.
