The Secret Service will be doing background checks on the press for the Democratic and Republican conventions. And, seems the press doesn't like it. It appears that they are concerned that some non-violent crimes might prevent then from getting credentialed and that there is no appeal process should they be denied....
Sounds like the First Amendment, at least for "the Press" is being treated a lot like the Second Amendment....and I don't recall many in the press being terribly concerned about that....
