it was HOT today
students learned a lot about how their gear/guns work and the difficulties in switching platforms back and forth

specialty classes are every three months or so
we have had: 3 gun competition, shotgun (multiple times), intermediate (2 or 3 times), shotgun 2.0 (once), and carbine 2.0 (once)

So how can it be considered 2.0?

Q it's more of a version 2.0 not a certification. Basically we added a second element ie. Shotgun with  pistol implementation hence 2.0 not 201 etc etc. But the we do require you to have attended at least once our range days with the platforms being used in these events as to have an understanding of the basic concepts being done.

thanks for clearing it up. I'd like to register for 1 of these combo sessions after taking the prerequisites.  BIG UPS & mahalo nui to the awesome staff & instructors @ HDF. How many students are in a single firearms/prereq class ?

I've been too multiple carbine and handgun classes, every time I learn something new. The instructors are great and everyone is cool. What better way to spend a Saturday. Not to mention you can't do the same things on the other side of the range.
