Me and Bushido want to get all of you rimfire lovin' fanatics :love: out there to come and join us for a shoot and meet at the Silhouette Range. We call ourselves the Hawaii Rimfire Shooters and we would like to get something started here where we meet and shoot regularly. All we ask is that you bring a rimfire rifle or pistol (or both) and a bunch of rounds to fire off. If this works out to be something regular we will mix things up and shoot at the different ranges and maybe do a rimfire challenge every so often. So if you are a rimfire lover :love: like we are come on out and join us for the shoot and meet.
When: Sunday January 29 at 7:00am-7:30am
Where: KHSC Silhouette Range
Cost: $5 range fee
Requires one rimfire pistol or rifle (.22 or .17)
We know it is the same day and time as Zippz Meetup Group so we hope to join up and shoot with them as well. Also, you can bring any other guns you want as long as they conform to the Silhouette Range requirements. If you don't have a rimfire gun and would still like to join us, please PM me and I'll arrange for an extra gun for you to shoot.

I'm looking forward to meeting new shooters and sharing information with those that have the same rimfire passion. Inspector and I have discussed all kinds of ideas for fun rimfire shoots that we can do and I would love to hear what others have in mind. I would love to put something together like the "22 marksman challenge" the Long Range Shooters of Utah.
I welcome all to join us (experts, novices as well as new shooters). I will bring a few rimfires with me and anyone interested can try any of MY guns.
Please pass this info along to anyone whom you may feel may be interested.

Other things we can do is to shoot the monthly rifle fun match on the first weekend of the month at the silhouette range and join in on the Hawaii Smallbore club matches on the rifle range. The chinese gun club has rimfire pistol matches too on Feb 11th and June 10th, not sure if you can just do the rimfire portion or you have to shoot the centerfire match too.
I would be interested in shooting in some of these shoots. As well, any of the Meetup group is welcomed to come by and try any of my guns.

I might try for June instead. One of the qualifications is to attend an appleseed first, then go to the instructors class. June class is in Wyoming. Anything to do in Wyoming?

I will definately do this again as it was a lot of fun. I brought out Thumper today and there were some scared kine guys afraid to shoot her. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: While a nice petite female put them all to shame and shot about 50 rounds of bunny farts and 25 rounds of some VERY stout rounds loaded to close to .454 Casull specifications. She turned into a recoil junkie. I hope to hear from her again soon. Nicole you were awesome today!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

Thank you all for coming out. It was great to have our first get together and meet a few guys (JHanawahine and London808). There was quite a few no shows but it was great to shoot with those that did show up. I would like to hear what some of you rimfire shooters would like to do as a group. Sorry we were not able to coordinate a shoot for the prizes as I got carried away helping the new shooters with the Meetup group. We will give away those prizes in the next "Inspector Rimfire Shoot".
I took Nicole for a tour around the complex. Yes she and Ting are defintely hooked. Thank you Zippz for taking the time to put together the Meetup group.

i think its so the metal dosent get destroyed by bigger/faster rounds, pellet gun is lighter and slower so im sure it would be ok. Maybe not tho i guess i need to ask. Or just go rifle side with it.

I wanted to go and bring my daughter but temporary medical condition prevented it.
I'll bring a couple .17HMRs (they've let us shoot them there on all my other trips, riimfire with 20 grain bullet, 2550 FPS) and we can reach out and knock over some 75 yard Piggys.

Not saying they always allow it but we've shot airguns there before with their permission. Break barrel springers so almost impossible to keep the muzzle pointed down range.

RIMFIRE FUN SHOOT this Sunday 8/20 12-4p at Koko Head Shooting Complex for anyone that can make it. We will be at the rifle range near the far left side and will be shooting 50y Prone. Any rimfire rifle or pistol with optics is allowed. Targets will be provided, please bring your own stands. There will be some light pupus and small prizes for those that participate. PM me or reply to this thread so we have a rough headcount.

The two guys that I normally shoot with. Lol.
Even when Inspector was running his rimfire monthly challenge, I would see guys shooting the target but hardly anyone would post.

Only no one wanted to repair it because they wouldn't say it was the starter for sure. So I took a chance and just had it replaced. What is with repair places these days? This went on from about 10am Saturday morning until Sunday. Another big expense I really don't need right now. Also, my wife was not doing well and I needed to stay home with her. My wife and her car are doing fine again.

Aiyah!Thing about the starter is that it died a very long death. I have had to replace 4 batteries in the last 3 years or is it 5 in the last 4 years. I kept blaming the crappy batteries. But it turns out the starter was pulling more and more current every time it was used. I guess these batteries can not take numerous huge hits of current drain. Now that I have a new starter it spins quickly and the engine starts quicker. Before it kept acting like the battery was dying. And in many cases the battery was dying as one cell in each battery went bad in a year or less. Finally the starter turned over slower and slower (like the battery was dying again) with a brand new battery and the battery was still good. I hope this new battery lasts more than a year now. Charging system is still good.
