Title: Rap Back
Post by: gtrrn on January 16, 2017, 12:10:25 AM
I was just noticing that since the Rap Back started, people have slowed down in purchases of firearms. or is it just me? personally I have decided not to purchase any further fire arms. :(

Lines at hpd seemed shorter to me but I assumed people are broke during/after xmas and also because people spent a lot before the election when Clinton was up in the polls

=============
welcome to the forum

There are a series of threads pertaining to RB already.
This was a topic of great concern during the last legislative session.
This was on the radar almost one year ago: https://2ahawaii.com/index.php?topic=21792.60
My self and other concerned members set up tables at the past couple of gun shows to try to promote interest and membership in this forum to keep people informed about stuff like this.
Despite repeated announcements from myself and other forum members, apparently there was not enough protest from us ordinary citizens to stop this outrageous piece of legislation.

I hope you and everyone reading this will take the battle for personal freedom a little more seriously now.
Please monitor and participate in the RB legal battle thread...

Our sacrificial lamb is LONDON808 who has decided to challenge the law.
It is going to take some money to battle this so throw some money into the pot.

How ironic that OUR TAX DOLLARS paid for this crap back system. Now we have to spend our hard earned money to fight our own tax dollars.
sickening isn't it?

It amazes me how much resources the State spends on controlling us law abiding gun owners. The rapback is a FBI system so the additional fee is for them. How many other States actually goes through the trouble of requesting medical information on the applicant? How many qualified personnel do they have reviewing medical records to make the determination if the applicant has a significant mental disorder and how much are they paid? They would need some medical training, I hope. I imagine there's a HPD room in the back filled with elves reading medical records.
