What firearms or firearm related things do you plan on buying in 2017?
I always have a "to buy" list going. Some things get checked off here and there, but it's more or less a running list of things that I want and or need.
In no particular order:
KMR rail for my Colt OEM2
Handguard with top optic rail for AK (have to decide which AK that I will mod)
Stock for AK (with the new handguard)
Red dot for AK
Those are the "major" things that I want. As in more than $100 or so.
I still need stuff like mag pouches and belts for my PPQ and CZ to get them fully outfitted for competition. I'm also looking at updating my HSGI belt to something a little more slimline and lighter.
I will also be expanding the medical stuff I already have on hand. I have a Dark Angel Medical kit that I can put on my HSGI belt or just have handy in my range bag.

Oh yeah. I should mention that I'm always looking for sales on bulk ammo. Particularly for 9 and 5.56/.223.

I'm still having a rough time deciding to purchase a CZ scorpion or SIG mpx.

AR Platforms 556 and 9mm maybe...
Another 1911
Henry Lever Action
Ruger Vaquero's for maybe sash....and I guess a shotgun for that
Bolt Action...still looking...would like to do some long shooting...
Ammo...Ammo...Ammo
My gears are always spinning and dreaming

For 2017 want to get a backup complete AR upper 16" with it's own BCG. Don't have to be a top name upper like DD or similar. Also want either a NV or thermal image rifle scope but need to do more research about the subject. Want it for my 18" SPR, but don't have to be high magnification.
Maybe a dozen more Magpul AK gen 3 mags. Another 1K of Sierra 77 gr. HPBT with cannelure and more ammo especially 12 ga. 00, 1, 4 BK. Although kind of related to firearm issues, want to get a stick welder that uses 120V.
-
My plan is to try and use what I have. Past couple years I've been working a lot more, mostly to afford things like Firearms. Ironic thing is I can't get out on weekends and use them :P Ammo if on sale sounds like a good plan too.

I'm moving to Utah so.....
AAC Illusion
Silencerco Omega
Silencerco Maxim 9
Tax stamps to SBR my krinks
Get my non-threaded rifles threaded
Threaded barrel for my G34
High power optics for long range rifles
re-buy all my damn powders and primers
Hope that Howa brings out a 6.5 grendel mini action bolt gun w/ threaded barrel

A bolt action .22 with a decent scope was pretty high on my to buy list as well. Decided to pick up another AR and a couple of handguns before the election. As I mentioned in threads about RapBack, I probably won't be buying a firearms any time soon. Haven't ruled it out, but there isn't really anything that I NEED right now. Ammo is always something I look to buy and try to keep a good amount on hand so that I am not caught in the next run on ammo and am stuck deciding between paying 2-3x what I normally would pay for ammo or not shooting at all. At one point in the 2012-2013 craze, I remember 9, 45 and 5.56 were almost never to be found. Then the run on 22. That was terrible.
-
I am done buying any more guns. I am going to concentrate on shooting up all my ammo and reloading supplies. That should make me forget about all those revolvers that won't have a good home in my safe!

I can help you with getting rid of 9/40/45/357/38SPL as well as 5.56/.223 and .308. Just let me know!

Luckily got my last buy in before the election, now just need to modify it a bit to my preferences. Would like to replace the aging Primary Arms M4orgery red dot sight with something, but the cost of all but junk is still too high.

RAPBACK also prevents me from "Registering" anything in Hawaii
I do have one more spikes lower to built out tho.

I came close to buying the Magpul stock for my Rem 700 in a group buy. I think they were offering for $150 or so. My 700 has been on the back burner for a while. I've always wanted to upgrade the stock and McMillan and others had been what I wanted, but then the Magpul came out. I would also cerakote the action/barrel and upgrade the bolt knob. Haven't shot it in maybe 2-3 years, so it hasn't been a priority. That and the ammo is expensive.

While I have more than one of the guns that I use the most, nothing wrong with expanding horizons. I mainly stick to 9 and 5.56/.223, but I have other calibers, though not much ammo for them.

I'm a simple man. Can someone gift me a little ole Winchester Model 52 sporter in NIB condition?

I swore the same about .45 ACP, 12 Ga, and .308/7.62.
But after some thought as the election approached and inner AH emerged, I somehow ended up with a need for .223/5.56 ammo added.

Get in the back of the line LuckyDog. This ole man has had dibs on a 52 since time began!

Dunno maybe a hi-point carbine in 9mm just for the heck of it...

Firearms: None as long as rap back exists
Accessories: Deciding between a red dot, 1-6 scope or acog

if there was no rapback, I would be getting a Ruger Redhawk 8 shot .357 magnum right now!
-

Thanks but no, I need (want) the whole thing. I don't have a Remington 700

I agree. I have a 243 and a 30-06 who fly solo.

I have 40, 45, 357/38, 308, 762x39 and 22 lr. I don't have any 45 and maybe 200 or so 40.
I don't see myself expanding beyond that. Will stick with stocking 9 and 5.55/.223.

If there was no rapback I wouldn't be getting another firearm this year. Other than my other previous wants of which the NV or thermal scopes is probably just wishin n hopin , seriously thinking of getting a good full face respirator aka gas mask like the MSA Millenium with some extra filters. Have some milsurp Israeli M-15 masks and NATO filters for the family but want something equal to what LE has.
-
I just purchased 2 new ruger vaquero revolvers, uberti lever gun and 2 stoeger coach guns and also bought a holster and shotgun belt lol. I told myself I wouldn't buy because of rapback but I caved to get into sash lol

Good to see Colt expanding their production. I would like to see them bring back the Pythons and others.

Only thing I want to order this year
-
I'm with you on this one, Ren.
J Hara had the 50 packs on sale for about $3 during the holidays. It might be worth a call to see if he can give you a deal.
-
this is the most tempting so far this year
blued Redhawk .44mag, 5.5" barrel
I like the Hogue grips on this one. usually I prefer wood for the looks, but the Hogue on this one looks good. although I could always change to wood

I am want to find some good self resetting targets on my trip to NV next week. Big Five had some silhouette ones, hope they still got them.

I have a S&W 686, but I've also been wanting to add a Ruger revolver to the collection. While this one is tempting, I'd probably stick to .357 Mag/.38 SPL for now. Damn ammo costs. . . :(

If I had a private range at say a ranch property or something, reactive steel would be a must!

Yes, having a home range is nice. I don't think Kokohead will allow you drawing from concealment, firing 2 shots and then moving sideways 5-8 ft doing your after action drills. LOL.

I wanted to get the Redhawk in the 8 shot .357, but when I saw the blued .44mag, that impressed me more!
after further thinking, I'd rather get a .357 in the GP100 3" barrel Talo edition with novak sights, rather than the Redhawk bigger frame revolver in 357. but that's just me.
and also the Redhawk blued finish .44mag
call me old school. I like the big frame in a .44, and the medium frame in .357 ;)

Just looked up that Redhawk 8 shot .357. . . MSRP around $1100. . . I HATE YOU!!! ;D
I enjoy shooting .44 Mag and .44 SPL on occasion, but .357 is enough for me. Haha. That said, the allure for a nice .44 Mag revolver is super tempting.

Nice on both regards. And ever since I shot the Pro 930, I've wanted one. They aren't that expensive.

its on buds for $735. and it keeps calling to me.
like the telltale heart, this is my telltale Hawk.........Redhawk! :D
its haunting me........dam rapback!!!

Just ammo, thanks to rap back.
Also building more of my own holsters and other leather items like cartridge belts, etc.
I'm just focusing on regular range time and training, really. More reading, less buying.
-
A decent portable shooting bench, and maybe an acceptable holosight for this franken-AR that somehow got built.

Price range for holosight?
See the Aimpoint PRO going on sale quite often here and there. With new Aimpoint Micros coming out here and there, you'll probably be able to find decent older (4 MOA models) and such going on sale when people upgrade to the latest and greatest. Might have to search national level boards like M4C though.
-
My wife is building her 1st AR. All we need is BCG, handguard (she knows which one she wants), lowpro gas block and tube, dust cover, and trigger. Then cerakote.
-
Price range for holosight?
Sub-$200 would be nice, I get enough static about all the "gun parts" that show up in the mail.
I know that probably means Chicom crap, but some of it is quite serviceable apparently. Have an old Primary Arms M4 clone, but it lacks an on-off switch and the brightness knob is very stiff.
Am attracted to the EOtech type sights, but never used one, and they are $$$ for a retired farte on fixed income.

Thanks, drck1000. I would love to share a photo here. But I am honestly not set up for that. I'm just cruising on a iPhone and don't have an account at a photo site. If anyone has suggestions, I'll try to follow them. Thanks!
