Title: Ammo in surplus because Hillary wasn't elected
Post by: yurcarmeean on February 03, 2017, 11:03:20 AM
We can expect to see a surplus on ammo because Hillary wasn't elected. Ammo makers produced extra ammo in anticipation of buy frenzy if Hillary had been elected, which as we all know, didn't precipitate.

I was expecting the same for many things firearms related, especially AR related items like complete guns (and even components) and magazines.  The industry was caught with their pants down in 2012-2013 time frame.  That was partly due to when that market sector was in the process of expanding rapidly.  However, seems like the market filled out considerably in the past 2-3 years.  Even to the point of oversaturation.  That is a good thing if you are looking for AR stuff.  I seem some companies selling USGI mags for as low as $5.99 where they were going for the $8.99 and higher range just before the election.

On one hand, Trump is good for the 2a. OTOH, Hillary is good for the gun industry when we flock to the stores and stock up on guns and ammo.

Yessir, I second stocking up especially if prices come down.  5.56, 7.62X39, 7.62X51, 12 ga., 9mm.   Hope we see these lower Trump prices next month at the gun show.   Affordable 300BLK would be good too.
Maybe things politically are in our favor nationally but always got our fanatic politicians in HI trying to stick us.

Yup.  Will definitely continue to stock up here and there with ammo sales.  Might not expand calibers that much, but I certainly need to pick up more 7.62x39.
