I wonder if the Hawaii models were correct.

(Ok please no wise cracks about the word "models"; trying to be serious here, maybe... LOL)

Another thing to wonder about are foodstuffs coming from Japan.

Not really sure what to believe.

Is the Japan government really ignorant, or irresponsible, or are they actually right, in saying radiation levels are safe for residency again?

Short of actually going there with a Geiger counter myself, it's hard to really know.

IF it was that bad and radiation doing that much harm we would all be dead already.  Look at ww2 bombs dropped on actual cities.  Those cities are perfectly fine now.  Look at Nevada which had probably 100+ tests.  Las Vegas is still there and alive. Look at the pacific where countries bombed entire islands to test.  The fish are still edible.  This is mostly fear mongering.

Worldwide cancer rates have yet to settle back to normal after the era of above ground nuclear weapons testing, so yes actions do have consequences.

One has to wonder why you continue going to these sites.  Scientific research perhaps?

Gotta educate the uneducated like yourself.  One person at a time!   :shaka: lol  I visit the scientific sites, which post info which I read and see if its correct.  Then I remembered that you posted some crackpot conspiracy video of this on a forum i visit.  So it was my duty as a good human to help educate you slightly a bit more.

Now you're resorting to more juvenile insults and lies about me.

Give it a rest.  We all know how desperate you are to get attention by acting smart, even though you say some pretty dumb things.  Mostly I just have to sigh and move on without commenting because you seem to not have a clue about anything.  The times I do respond is when what you said was so outrageously stupid, it demands someone call out your BS.

If you aren't EEF relabeled, you sure do sound like you crawled from under the same rock.

It just gets tiring of people posting the same conspiracy ridden false info, then taunt me when I point it out. I decided to just get one the same level as you folks and insult my way to perceived victory. Hell I posted a bunch of fact with sources and you don't even mention that you just went straight to the insults.

You give the other Snowflakes a bad rep!  If you have such a burning desire to "educate", you should research how to teach.  Anyone can Google links that support their beliefs, but you have yet to show any individual credentials to backup anything you say.

You're using other people's data and conclusions to argue against people who appear to have more years, education and experience than you do.  Insults only make you look small, not "victorious."

As I said, give it a rest.  You can't prove your facts independent of Googling other people's online info.  Real research is not limited to regurgitation.  It requires direct knowledge, experience and critical thinking.

You spend too much energy arguing that other people's data you Googled is the truth without any independent verification, validation or substantiation.  Taking it upon yourself to push secondhand "facts" doesn't make you right.  It makes you a useful idiot to the people who started that ball rolling.

In the spectrum of snowfakes I believe your viewpoints on many times are in the fringe.  That would make you the special snowflake.  I want the world to be less ignorant, yes.  Google is a search tool.  The results are not wrong just cause of the medium used to find them.  I've linked many sites with sources.  Please do tell me how you prove all your facts with your PHD in environmental sciences. I'm sure you never use other peoples facts.  If someone reputable says something, shows the facts that what they say is true, yes I do believe them.  If my mechanic says something is wrong with my car, shows me the broken part.  I say okay you are right, fix the part.  I don't go off getting a degree in mechanics just to prove that the part was indeed broken and needs to be replaced.

It's common sense for anyone who's been alive the last 50 years.  Every one of the "scientific" doom and gloom predictions have petered out.  Without more definitive proof they are right this time, I don't NEED to prove a negative.

Try again.

Its also common sense for many people that religion is "correct".  Yet no one has seen god.  None of the doomsday's religion "predicts" has happened yet.  You can see something is happening and that its not good without knowing 100% of the details of such an event.  You can have a good understanding and still act to change.  For example you are in front of a river.  The water is rising and you might die if the river keeps rising.  Now you know that there is probably rain upstream and that is contributing to the river rising.  But what you don't fully know is the extent.  How much it has to do with ice melt, etc. You with your knowledge cant predict the actual rain flow exactly.  Now with this knowledge do you choose to air on the side of caution and move away from the river?

That tells me you are more interested in arguing with people than contributing to the topic and allowing others to do the same without it turning into a pissing contest.

Wait a sec,  I posted factual videos with proof that OP's claim was false.  You came along and started to off topic argue and somehow its my fault that you are not discussing said evidence I posted?

It's just like with this climate BS. Yes u can dump a shitload of pollution into the atmosphere and it affects the climate so little it is not worth even mentioning.

Same with this radiation. The ocean is very forgiving and healing. Just like our atmosphere. It will effect the ocean but it will be so mild it will be just a pimple on the history of the earth.

I consider myself a skeptical environmentalist. I agree that the Earth has the ability to heal itself if we let it. Global warming may not be a problem now but with population growth, it will be in another 50 years with estimates of 10B around 2060. The obvious solution is to kick off half the population, so who gets to decide which half can stay and which half has to go? We need to focus more on innovation rather than taxation and subsidies to fix the damage caused by overpopulation. The carbon tax can be used to fund innovations until it has reduced carbon emissions to the point where there's little to tax anymore.
