I think all of this is to be expected. Business is business. And without the public in panic buying mode, sales of everything firearm related is slowing. It was inevetible and predicted a few years ago by most of the gun mags and even a couple of the companies. Let's face it, the manufacturers have caught up with pretty much everything except .22 ammo. And that was explained as going to continue a few years ago as well. We may see a few of the smaller cottage manufacturers and maybe even some LGS go out of business. But for the big companies like Remington they are not in financial dire straits. Rather they are doing what it takes to stay in business. It is good business.
If you are invested in firearms stocks I would put a sell stop on your shares. In other words, if the price drops 10% then automatically sell. Just a suggestion.

For the past 8 years, guns and ammo would fly off the shelf and stock prices rise when some whackadoodle commits an atrocity involving women and children, then someone from the administration says the words "gun control". We'll see if this continues but doubt it.
