Title: Tikka M595 lefty 7mm-08 range time

As most of you can recall, I restocked my Tikka with a pepper laminate prairie hunter stuck from Boyd's a while back. Well took it out for a test on 6/2 @ Kokohead. Shot my pet load, Sierra 140gr BT spritzer, magtech lg rifle primer, 46gr H4350, Federal nickle cases. Outside of it shooting about a half inch lower and slightly right, it grouped better than with the factory wood and grouped better consistently. Perceived recoil appeared less and straight back. A joy to shoot. Here is 5 shots, 2 thru the same hole @ 7 o'clock with the next 3 touching. This gun has taken many Axis deer in Molokai and Lanai, Muleys and black tail in Texas and Kali,  Caribou in Alaska and most recently 3 antelope in Wyoming. With the new furniture, I'm sure it will outlive me and serve my grandson (also a lefty) for a long long time. Happy camper!  :thumbsup: :geekdanc:

Oops, my bad... yes @ 💯  :D not so much me though. This gun has always been accurate but just more so now.... :thumbsup:

Also a lefty and have a tikka t3 lite in 7mm and Sako A7 big game in .300 win mag

Did you bed the stock?

Thanks and no did not bed it. The stock fit like a glove. Don't see any need to but won't rule it out yet. The inletting was perfect and snug.... :thumbsup:

Nice! How's the weight difference between the Boyds vs the factory stock?

Very little maybe 1/2 pound more but the way it's configured makes it handle nicer and offers a better fit for me. I can get into the piece faster and the follow thru seems easier. Recoil is straight back...
