I agree. Not a lot of coverage on this. It still is going to be fought. But at least the full amount Trump asked for got put in to the funding.

The difference being that that first photo, I believe (see link below), is a commie wall, built to keep people in, while the southern border wall is being built to keep people out. A subtle difference, I know, but...

Didn't it start out at $21.6B? Don't get me wrong. I'm all in favor of a moderate $1.6B wall but $21.6B was ridiculous. Maybe the lower cost factors in the money that will be made from all of the solar panels that Trump will install along the southern side.

The 1.6 is an annual budget (as I understand).

In total, the bill allocates $13.8 billion to customs and border protection. That includes the $1.6 billion for the wall, $100 million to
more Border Patrol agents, $131 million for new border technology, $106 million for aircraft and sensors and $109 million for
"non-intrusive inspection equipment."
It also adds $619.7 million to Immigration and Customs Enforcement over current levels, bringing total funding for ICE to $7 billion.
