Anyone reload 06 for garands. Looking for a starting place and develop loads around that. I'm under the impression that you have to pay attention to what powders you're using cause of the pressure and nature of the gas system. If I'm wrong, sorry. Looking for 600 yard loads. Saw heavies post but looking for anyone who reloads specifically for garands. Using cmp hornady ball ammo and getting decent groups but once that runs out, want to load my own. Thanks for any info.

My National Match load for the M-1 Garand: 30-06 LC match cases full length resized, Rem. 9.5 large rifle primers, 46.5 gr. IMR 4895 and a 168gr, HPBT match bullet either Sierra or Hornady. Very accurate and performed will at the 600 yard line at Puuloa. But I stopped High Power comp shooting decades ago. But I think this load is still a classic.

thanks flinter. Appreciate the help. For some reason getting feedback on a small local forum is a lot more comfortable than info off huge forums. I feel I have to triple check that stuff and even then, kind of wary. On here, I'll just make sure its in safe range and go load up a test batch.

I use 48.0 of IMR 4064 with 168 gr., and 50.0 of IMR 4064 with 150 gr.
